The Beginning
Why I Started LUMÉA
I spent years searching for a serum that actually delivered real results — not marketing results, not the illusion of results, but measurable, visible changes to my skin. Everything I found either contained actives at concentrations too low to do anything meaningful, or required a clinic visit and an $800 budget I didn't have.
Then I found GHK-Cu. I was reading through clinical dermatology research — the kind that doesn't make it onto skincare brand websites — and I came across study after study documenting something extraordinary: a copper peptide that activates over 4,000 genes involved in skin repair and collagen synthesis. The results in peer-reviewed literature were unlike anything I'd seen associated with an over-the-counter ingredient.
The problem? You couldn't find it at the right concentration outside of expensive clinic treatments. Retail products either contained it at token concentrations that achieved nothing, or weren't transparent about concentration at all.
"I built LUMÉA to solve exactly that problem. One product. The right ingredient. The right concentration. No compromise."
LUMÉA launched from the Gold Coast of Australia, where our manufacturer Cellular Cosmetics operates to ISO 22716 GMP standards. Every formula is EU EC 1223/2009 compliant and AICIS registered. We don't cut corners on safety, and we don't cut corners on actives.
The Science
What the Research Shows
GHK-Cu (Glycyl-L-Histidyl-L-Lysine Copper) was first isolated from human plasma in 1973 by Dr. Loren Pickart. Subsequent decades of peer-reviewed research have documented its ability to activate signalling cascades that upregulate genes responsible for collagen I, III and IV, elastin, and proteoglycans — the structural proteins that determine skin firmness and elasticity.
At 0.06% concentration — the clinically validated effective range — GHK-Cu has been shown in multiple double-blind trials to reduce the appearance of fine lines and deep wrinkles, improve skin firmness, and accelerate barrier repair. It is the same compound administered in professional copper peptide clinic treatments that charge upwards of $800 per session.
LUMÉA contains the same active ingredient at the same effective concentration. For $72.
"GHK-Cu is one of the most studied peptides in dermatology. At 0.06% concentration it activates collagen synthesis, skin repair, and cellular regeneration."

What We Stand For
Science First
Every ingredient in every LUMÉA formula is backed by peer-reviewed research and present at a concentration shown to produce measurable results. We will never include an active as a marketing claim without the science to support it.
Made Simple
Fewer, better products rather than complicated routines you can't maintain. We believe the best skincare is the kind you actually use — consistently, every day, without friction. Accessible prices. Accessible science. No gatekeeping.
No Compromise
Cruelty-free. Vegan formulas (where applicable). Manufactured in Australia to GMP standards. EU compliant. We will not sacrifice safety, ethics, or efficacy for margin. Every product we sell meets the standard we would hold ourselves to.
